    The VP of IT will be responsible for creating a global day to day support and maintenance function within IT with oversight over infrastructure, productivity tools, enterprise applications and user services. Key to success will be the implementation of best practices, standards, policies and procedures to create a more mature IT support organization.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Build and lead a team committed to service and user experience excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Develop a model to resource both ongoing technical support and prioritized technology initiatives.
    • Develop and monitor metrics related to IT service levels, capacity, security and cost effectiveness
    • Develop and monitor a technology asset management model, identifying support levels and expected life.
    • Provide vendor contract and management oversight to insure quality and cost-effective service.
    • Monitor and schedule all vendor updates and fixes to ensure that applications and infrastructure are at supportable levels. Any variance to this should be reported as a risk management issue to the executive team.
    • Proactively project necessary technology equipment purchases and upgrades necessary to support growth and expansion.
    • Define, implement and monitor function policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and guidelines. 
    • Demonstrate understanding of business strategy and objectives and recommend changes and improvements in current technology footprint to enable those objectives.
    • Support the strategic planning process as requested
    • Evaluate and recommend corporate information systems technology solutions while remaining abreast of trends and emerging technologies
    • Develop budget for your function and manage expenses to budget
    • Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding all technology operations throughout the enterprise.
    • Support company security, data privacy and control objectives.
    • Develop, test and implement a disaster recovery plan for all enterprise technology

    Qualifications

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Graduate degree preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience and 5 years of IT leadership experience.
    • Global experience strongly preferred
    • Experienced with integration across multiple SAAS environments 
    • Change management experience related to increasing the maturity of an IT department

    • Demonstrated skill in contract and vendor negotiations
    • Demonstrated ability to develop effective business relationships
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute activities within a changing environment.
